GT5
This is a really bad list, NONE of those did what the title claims. Games that shaped this gen are games that have been copied more than others, games that have influenced other games heavily. None of these games have done that this gen.
Games that would have been better examples, Gears of War, (horde mode, the epic train battle, shoot from cover style gameplay, and heavily textured beautiful graphics) Crackdown (super human free roam destroy city game play) and COD, for obv...

N4G kids think that Sony's E3 press conference was the best. wow, big surprise. Sony could show poop at a press conference and you automatons would still say they won, you have no credibility.
All the press conferences were mediocre.
No matter what Microsoft does, the majority of gaming commentary on the web will be negative. Microsoft is dammed if they do, dammed if they don't. They should do what they want, screw everyone else, because they seem to be doing pretty well on their own.
FYI according to the internet and most gaming sites, Microsoft has never "won" an E3, not even during the old Pete Moore days when they were blazing the way into the next gen.
Bungies first few games after the split were to be TIMED exclusive to MS/Xbox. This was revealed back when it was announced that Bungie was going independent. It got relatively little coverage, because it was good news for Xbox, but its out there, google it.
MS used to show exclusives at E3, and focus almost completely on hardcore gamers, they were ripped for it. A lot of gamers were saying Microsoft didn't belong in gaming, and that they didn't know anything about gaming.
Well I guess MS heard you, their going after the casuals, since "gamers" dont want them.
I find it fascinating that so many N4G kids hate this game with a sincere passion, even though, not only have they never played the game, but they dont even own Xbox 360! LMAO!!!
This is just proof that its not about the games with fanboys, its about brand loyalty and Xbox hate.
Their OK, nothing is happening that MS has not anticipated. They knew this late in the game, Xbox sales would slow, if they were worried about it they would drop the price.
As for Windows phone, they have spent a LOT on WP7/8 development, and the Nokia partnership, the huge loses were completely expected, its an investment for them, hopefully it will pay off.

GT5 is nothing like Forza4. If you go into GT5 expecting the refined, logical and entertaining environment, that you experienced with FM4, you will be very disappointed.
Didn't expect much of Ninja Gaiden since Itagaki left. He was the genius behind NG.
I like how he says all 360 exclusives. That is so true, for whatever reason, even in the media not just with fanboys, its ok to hate on 360 games.
And why is it that whenever someone starts naming exclusives, they only name Halo, Gears and Forza on 360, but they name every exclusive ever made on PS3 no matter how insignificant LOL!

So are these the same weekly charts we got last year that kept telling us PS3 was outselling 360 week to week, only to find out at the end of the year 360 outsold the PS3 in 2011?
Unbelievable, who would have thought back in say 2006,the Xbox 360 would be outselling EVERYTHING this far into this generation, while still hanging on to second place in world wide total sales. Way to go Microsoft, you guys made a LOT of so called experts look like idiots.

Serves California right, the Hollywood lobby has been after the video game industry for some time now. On top of that, California has gone anti business and tax crazy.
without Itagaki I fully expect this game to be crap.
Plus ninja gaiden on Playstation still seems weird to me.
